My name is Frédéric Alix. I've been an infrastructure engineer since 1997. Over nearly three decades, I've built, maintained, and evolved production infrastructure for companies of all sizes.
Today, I bring that experience to startups, SMBs, and agencies that need senior SRE expertise without a full-time hire.
My approach is pragmatic: simple solutions, proven tools, no unnecessary complexity. I believe good infrastructure is infrastructure you understand, can operate confidently, and that doesn't break the bank.
Based in France, I work remotely with clients across Europe.
My philosophy
Simplicity first
No Kubernetes, no needlessly complex architectures. Bare metal and VMs when they're the right choice. Docker when it's relevant. The right tool for the problem, not the other way around.
Sovereignty and cost control
I primarily work with European hosting providers (OVHcloud, Scaleway). You keep control of your data and your budget.
Full transparency
You know what's running, why, and how much it costs. Dashboards, documentation, knowledge transfer — I don't create dependency.
